Loch Lomond Faerie Trail opens on Luss Estates

We have enjoyed every minute of preparation for this project! Transforming the Quarry Path and River Paths around Luss into the Loch Lomond Faerie Trail with the wonderful creativity and design work from Brilliant Trails. Handmade wooden faerie houses and faerie doors have been used to decorate the trees and footpaths with design sympathetic to the beautiful woodland. Purchase your timed ticket online or on arrival in Luss at Loch Lomond Adventures in Luss carpark. Receive your colourful Loch Lomond Faerie Trail wristband, activity booklet and pencil and follow the trail markers around the paths to solve the mystery of the missing faerie dust! On completion return to Loch Lomond Adventures to receive your certificate and I SOLVED THE MYSTERY reward sticker!

The development of the faerie trail was part of our ongoing commitment to diversification. We are also delighted to welcome a significant increase in children using the Quarry Path and River Path as a result of this trail thus inspiring this generation to be amazed by and to care for nature through appreciation of the beauty of the Scottish countryside. 

For our launch weekend we laid on some lovely 'real life' faerie performers around the trail as well as complimentary face painting for the little (and not so little!) faerie enthusiasts.

Loch Lomond Faerie Trail has been developed specifically to appeal to both boys and girls. The trail signage and booklet artwork features our signature Luss Estates Forest Green colour and is decorated throughout with tartan clad faerie girls and kilt wearing faerie boys! Bio-glitter and fair trade faerie merchandise is available to purchase in advance online or at Loch Lomond Adventures on the day.
