Scottish Style Awards Recognise Luss Hotel

The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel in Luss has been recognised as one of Scotland's most stylish establishments after being nominated for a Scottish Style Award.

The historic inn, which re-opened last year following a £3.5million transformation by owners Luss Estates, has been shortlisted in the Most Stylish Hotel category of the awards, described as 'Scotland's foremost celebration of creative endeavour'.

As well as recognising Scotland's most stylish individuals, hotels, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues, the Scottish Style Awards has also established a much respected finger on the pulse reputation for discovering Scotland's hottest fashion talent. Past winners have included Calvin Harris, David Tennant, Emeli Sande, KT Tunstall, Timorous Beaties and Christopher Kane, whilst Cameron House, Dakota, Hotel du Vin @ One Devonshire Gardens and The Glasshouse @ Eskmills are amongst previous recipients in the hospitality categories.

A stellar judging panel of international arbiters of style decide the nominations and winners, with this year's nominees including actors Martin Compston and Sophie Kennedy Clark, retailers Emporio Armani and Cruise, and musicians Chvrches, Glasvegas and The Cuban Brothers. The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel's fellow nominees in the Most Stylish Hotel category are: Aldourie Castle Estate, Loch Ness; citizenM, Glasgow; Mhor 84 Motel, Balquidder; and Whitefalls Spa Lodges, Breacastle, Isle of Lewis.

Located within Luss by Loch Lomond, the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel launched in August 2012 following the historic coaching inn's transformation into a captivating 14 bedroom hotel with traditional bar, dedicated function suite and informal restaurant serving hearty yet elegant dishes. Delightfully eclectic interior design and attention to detail is evident throughout the remodelling of hotel which strikes an easy balance between village pub, dining destination and romantic retreat.

Val Jones, General Manager at The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, said: "We are thrilled and excited to be recognised by the Scottish Style Awards, all the more so as our nomination and shortlisting to the final five came as a genuine surprise. Every day, guests from all over the world compliment us on the interior design and style of the hotel, so to be formally recognised, and to be in such exceptional company, is a fabulous accolade for the entire team here in Luss."

The 2013 Scottish Style Awards in association with Moet & Chandon takes place on Saturday 9th November at Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
