Loch Lomond Litter Update 2024
Our Estate team, led by CEO Simon Miller, has been working tirelessly throughout the year to keep Loch Lomond and the surrounding areas pristine. Dedicated to preserving the beauty of Luss and the surrounding areas, the team are very active in litter picks.
Over the course of 2024, they have collected an astonishing 323 bags of waste. Among the discarded items were larger abandoned materials such as tents, chairs, clothing, and even tires — a reminder of the impact of tourism and neglect on the environment.
Once morning a month, the team dedicates several hours to tidying up somewhere on the estate. As a popular tourist destination, Loch Lomond sees a significant influx of visitors, which unfortunately leads to an increase in litter.
We are incredibly grateful to our Estate team for their hard work and commitment to maintaining the natural beauty of Loch Lomond. Their efforts make a significant difference in ensuring this iconic location remains a treasure for visitors and locals alike.
