The Luss Highland Games brings thousands of visitors to Luss to watch piping, Highland dancing, traditional sports and hill races.
Held annually since 1875, except for a break during the two World Wars, the games have been tempting visitors to Luss for many moons. Traditional events including Tossing the Caber and Throwing the Hammer still entertain more modern crowds.
The Hill Race, with competitors scaling the challenging Luss Hill, is viewed from the perfect vantage point of the games field. The skirl of the pipes and the skill of the colourful Highland dancers bring the most romantic and evocative sights and sounds of Scotland’s musical heritage to the Luss Highland Games.
