Field Sports

Luss Estates, in the heart of the beautiful Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, offers a spectacular venue for game shooting and deer stalking.

Our renowned pheasant shoot caters for 8 guns with 200 bird driven days available from the end of October to the end of January. A superb variety of drives is available within breathtaking scenery and offer a range of different challenges. Walked up days are led by our Head Game Keeper, Ross Stewart, and are a fantastic way to experience the amazing surroundings of Loch Lomond. Lunch is arranged for shooting parties in the library at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel. Luss Estates office can assist with accommodation and transport arrangements.

Luss Estates is home to wild populations of Red, Roe and Fallow Deer. As a bi-product of our deer management program, we welcome deerstalking parties to visit our stunning setting on the banks of Loch Lomond in the foothills of the Scottish Highlands.

Red Deer stalking is available in season from July until 20th October. Fallow buck stalking on the Loch Lomond Islands is available from July until the 20th October. Roe buck stalking is available in April, May and August. Please contact the Estate Office for more details.

A recent substantial investment in a bespoke game larder enables the Estate to supply in-season venison and game to the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel.

We are affiliated with Tyndrum & Inverary Deer Management Group and the Loch Lomond Islands Deer Management Group. As deer have no natural predators, our deer management program is a necessity in order to reduce browsing damage to young trees and crops, to encourage new growth or natural regeneration in the native broadleaf woodlands, and to reduce the risk of road traffic accidents involving wild deer on the busy A82/A83 Trunk roads and local roads.

Luss Estates is working towards Wildlife Estates Scotland accreditation.
