Luss Estates is recruiting a Sales Manager. The role will involve sales for the various Luss Estates businesses covering the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel as well as Luss Seafood Bar, the new FabuLUSS Activity Hub and the retail offering which comprises Luss General Store and The Clan Shop. The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel will be a significant focus for the role. The hotel has won many awards including the Prestige Hotel award for Country Hotel of the year 2017and a Scottish Hotel Awards Golden Laurel in 2016. The hotel benefits from an exclusive position within the traditional village of Luss on the west banks of Loch Lomond and is close to the town of Helensburgh, half an hour from Glasgow International Airport and fifty minutes from Glasgow.
Luss is one of Scotland’s major tourist destinations, with a foot fall of over 750,000 visitors per year. With the function room at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel recently extended, a major purpose of this role is to sell the location for conferences, events and weddings resulting in a significant improvement in events revenue, room occupancy, room rates and overall business levels in the hotel as well as revenue in the other businesses. There is fantastic growth potential as Luss Estates extends to over 40,000 acres with opportunities to develop new event locations. Strong partnerships exist with a number of activity providers enabling the creation of exciting corporate events.
The successful candidate will be working alongside the senior management team to identify new streams of revenue, agree rates, accounts that need managing and will establish sales targets specific to the Loch Lomond Arms with the Hotel General Manager.
Candidates applying for this role must have extensive experience in a sales role working for the hospitality, retail or catering industry. The role would suit a successful sales executive wishing to progress in their first management role or a sales manager wanting to expand the range of businesses they are working for. Knowledge of the region and of the Scottish market is essential as well as a proven track record of successful business development and account management. Candidates will also need to demonstrate that they possess strong negotiation skills, an ability to interpret and generate management information, are computer literate, flexible, quick thinkers and solution driven, highly organised and have developed strong networking skills.
The role will involve travelling across Scotland and the rest of UK or Europe and will include from time to time attending trade shows and reaching out new customers.
The salary bracket for this role is £20-£25K plus attractive benefits, depending upon experience.
