Reception Manager at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel

The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel in the pictureque village of Luss is looking for a dynamic individual to lead the reception team. Candidates should have experience in a similar role, at least in the capacity of Head Receptionist or Assistant Reception Manager in a hotel. This role reports directly to the General Manager. 

The main duties of the role include ensuring that the department runs smoothly, managing reservations and enquries, increasing the room sales revenue through an effective management of the hotel occupancy levels. overseeing check-in and out, ensuring that all billing is accurate and that company auditing procedures are followed, handling customer complaints proactively and in a friendly manner, training receptionists and recruiting as required, drawing up weekly rotas to suit the business needs.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent customer focus attitude and demonstrate a real passion for hospitality, they will be able to demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate a team working as part of the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel and within Luss Estates. Experience in handling a reservation and revenue management system is essential as is strong IT skills including use of a hotel booking system (eg Guest Line or Fidelio). The Head Receptionist must lead a reception team which is neatly and proffessionally presented as well as warm and welcoming. Flexibility with working hours and availability is essential. 

This role reports directly to the General Manager and due to the responsibilities and requirements to deputise in the absence of the Hotel GM the role requires someone that is responsible, driven and has effective and timely decision making skills. Local knowledge would be an advantage but is not essential.
